I am Rajkumar Banewal, a tourism professional with over 30 years of experience in the travel and hospitality industry, based in New Delhi.

My journey began in 1994, when I worked with a travel agency, where I developed a deep understanding of the industry. In 2000, I took a major step forward by establishing my own company, Safe Voyages Tours, with a vision to provide reliable, personalized, and high-quality travel services.

Over the years, I have built strong expertise in domestic and international travel, inbound and outbound tourism, car rental services, hotel bookings, and complete travel solutions. My focus has always been on attention to detail and delivering memorable experiences to every client.

I am also the 'Founder & President of the Global Tourism Travel Agents Association of India' (GTTAA), where I work towards bringing together professionals from the tourism, events, travel, and hospitality sectors. My goal is to create a platform that promotes collaboration, professional growth, and higher industry standards.

I strongly believe in continuous learning and staying up to date with the latest industry trends. Through my work, I aim to support and empower fellow professionals by providing opportunities for networking, training, and development.

Beyond my professional life, I have a deep passion for music. Although I could not pursue singing as a career, it remains close to my heart.

Mr. Kanwar started his career in the IT sector, gaining extensive exposure to systems management, operational efficiency, and service delivery models. Over the years, he successfully diversified into the retail, wholesale, and printing sectors, where he developed deep insights into supply chain management, vendor relations, inventory control, production planning, and quality assurance. Managing these varied business verticals enhanced his adaptability and strengthened his ability to align operations with market demands.

Hospitality Journey

In 2022, driven by his passion for travel and people-centric service, Mr. Kanwar entered the hospitality industry alongside his elder brother, Mr. Kuldeep Singh Kanwar. Together, they founded Hotel The Chabal in Kasauli, Himachal Pradesh, with a shared vision of creating a legacy-driven boutique hospitality brand that blends refined luxury with personalized service and authentic hill-station charm.

Leadership & Tourism Engagement

As Managing Director, Mr. Kanwar oversees strategic planning, hotel operations, guest experience standards, and brand development. He currently serves as BJP State Co-Convenor, Himachal Pradesh Tourism Cell, and is an active member of the Himachal Pradesh Tourism Development Association (HPTDA), contributing to the growth and sustainability of Himachal Pradesh’s tourism ecosystem.

Worked 8 years in the textile industry, 6 years at Jayashree Textiles, an Indian Rayon group based in Kolkata.Returned to Jodhpur in 1984. Started my own chemicals business at Jodhpur, entered the hotel business in 1996 with the start of  Chandra Inn. In 2013, we started chandra imperial& 2016, we started Chandra Grand with 112 rooms. Chandra Palace is under construction with 100 keys, and will start operation on January 27. With this, we will have 335 rooms in Jodhpur
